Garlic Bread

Crispy on the outside, buttery and garlicky on the inside. The ultimate side dish.

Prep: 5 minutes. Cook: 10 minutes. Difficulty: Easy. Serves 4.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette or Italian bread
  • 80g butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, and salt.
  3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread the garlic butter generously on both halves.
  5. Place on a baking tray. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Slice and serve immediately.

Tips for Helpers

  • Use softened butter so it spreads easily and mixes well with garlic.
  • For cheesy garlic bread, add grated mozzarella on top before baking.
  • Watch it closely — it goes from perfect to burnt quickly.

  • Use olive oil and garlic for a dairy-free version.
  • Any crusty bread works.
