Caesar Salad
Crisp romaine lettuce with creamy Caesar dressing, crunchy croutons, and shaved parmesan. A timeless salad.

Ingredients
- 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped
- 100g parmesan, shaved
- 2 slices bread, cubed for croutons
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- For dressing: 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 clove garlic (grated), 2 tablespoons grated parmesan, 1 tablespoon olive oil, Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Make croutons: toss bread cubes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Bake at 200°C for 8 minutes until golden.
- Make dressing: whisk mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, garlic, parmesan, and olive oil until smooth.
- Place chopped lettuce in a large bowl.
- Drizzle with dressing and toss well.
- Top with croutons and shaved parmesan.
- Serve immediately.
Tips for Helpers
- Homemade croutons are much better than shop-bought.
- Dress the salad just before serving — lettuce wilts quickly.
- Add grilled chicken for a more substantial meal.
