Grilled Salmon
A healthy, flavourful fish dish that is simpler to prepare than most people think.
Prep: 5 minutes. Cook: 12 minutes. Difficulty: Medium. Serves 4.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place salmon on a lined baking tray.
- Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and dill.
- Brush the mixture over each salmon fillet.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until fish flakes easily.
Tips for Helpers
- Don't overcook — salmon should be slightly pink in the centre.
- The fish is done when it flakes with a fork.
- Pat salmon dry before seasoning for better browning.
Ingredient Substitutions
- Any firm fish works — cod, sea bass, or snapper.
- Fresh herbs can replace dried.
- Lime works instead of lemon.
