Overnight Oats

Oats soaked overnight in milk with your choice of toppings. No cooking needed — breakfast is ready when you wake up.

Prep: 5 minutes. Cook: 0 minutes (overnight soaking). Difficulty: Easy. Serves 2.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (any type)
  • 100g yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • Toppings: fresh fruit, nuts, granola, peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Mix oats, milk, yogurt, honey, and chia seeds in a jar or container.
  2. Stir well. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
  3. In the morning, stir. Add more milk if too thick.
  4. Top with fresh fruit, nuts, or your preferred toppings.

Tips for Helpers

  • Prepare 2–3 jars on Sunday for quick weekday breakfasts.
  • Keeps in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • The oats thicken overnight — add milk in the morning to adjust.
